I have a 95 xr600r and the steering stem nut keeps loosening up on me. do you guys think maybe the bearings are shot or is it the lockwasher that folds over the top triple clamp? any advice would be appreciated.

I use the blue stuff and it's just plain great.

Is your lock washer gone? Mine has a lock washer to keep the nut from spinning.

If you have the lock washer on properly, the nut can't back off.

Lockwasher - it has teeth in it to stop the loosening
