New throttle cable assembly

Small mom and pop shop can get me a new, non OEM throttle cable assembly for $30 or an OEM Yamaha one for $60. Has anyone had any problems with going with a non OEM assembly?

never tried non oem but ive gone through 2 OEM cables in the last few years, seems after one season im getting fraying where the cables connect to the carb.........grrrr

yes l have had problems with non oem cables aswell, my throttle cable frayed in the same area at the carb also. when l got new cable, that damn thing was about 10 to 20mm too short. l had to return it and buy a genuine one...

Id go find some Sunline cables for $50.... They seem to be very high quality.
