Arenacross style track!

Recommended Posts

I am building a arenacross style track at my house and i already have the set up and turns built. Just wondering how big the rythem sections are and the finish line jump? (length and height) or if anyone has a good opinion on what other jumps to put on a track for training instinces!

1st off...u need a step on step off...they are just BA. Arenacross has really small valleys so try not to put too much space between jumps. try to have outside lines where u can triple and inside lines where u double, that is a lot of fun and good practice! as far as measurments....well ?

i am currently building tracks for a promoter in a horse arena that measures 125'x 250'.we are always changing stuff around but you just need enough room for takeoff and your runout for the landing.arenacross is alot of timing jumps and whoops, what kind of equipment do you have acess to? if you want some good building tips you may want to look at dirt wurx web site, rich has alot of good info on there for someone starting out.get a tape measure out and measure your width and length and i could though something at you. good luck

as far as equipment i have acess to, i can use a tractor with a bucket and a bobcat. i would say the lot i am building on is probly 150' x 250' maybe a little more each way. I have not heard of monroe arenacross track fill me in on some info.

It seems like most arenacross tracks have four lanes. One big jump (around 60 feet), a small rythm section (three doubles, two triples, or whatever you have room for), a whoops section, and a straight.

If it were me, I would put as me different lines, and styles possible, to get the most out of a practice track.

most of your jumps will start out of a corner, depending on how big of a launch you want, try combinations such as maybe a 25' step down out of the corner going into a 50' triple. this is arenacross so your take off ramps are steeper than outdoor style jumps. you want to be sure your landing ramps are forgiving and flow with the rest of the jump, and also the layout will transition from jump to jump.whoops are always good to have, you want them around 10' apart, just make sure you have enough room to slow into the next corner. for rollers go around 16' apart.get your dirt from the sides of each lane, this will hopefully help keep water off your track, if this is a problem where you live.since you have a tractor you are only limited to your skill on the tractor and on the bike, be safe.

to hopefully answer your question on measurements and not just tell you what jumps need based on opinions, standard takeoffs are 6 ft. jump faces with a 2:1 ratio or 3:1 (preference  if you want to fly high or long), you would be better to do 2.5:1 or do a 3:1 with light belly to preload your front suspension and get some lift with a 15 or 20 gap 20 ft of table then a landing with a 3:1 ration for forgiveness if you over jump. Im building a track on a 250 ft x 250 ft with my longest jump which is going to be 8 ft tall at the lip with a 3:1 jump face (24 ft), a 20 gap (to allow a lane to cross through), then 30 ft of table for safety then a 3:1 (30 ft) landing. So that being said thats 104 feet of lane real estate right there, so thats one lane by itself. This jump will be about distance than scary height that would freak my sons out. Very safe and fun is the key. My 6 footers will be 20 ft gap 10 foot of safety table then the 3:1 landing. this is what im doing, you have to know how your limits before you start just making jumps. if you put in any track time then take a measuring tape and copy your favorite jumps and be done with it. a few 6 footers a big table top and a few berms and a bunch little fun stuff like whoops and what not its all fun just build a couple jumps and just start filling in the blanks. Hope this helps some. yall be safe and be good.
