Will they fit? I rode an o5 yz450 with applied 22.5 mm offset clamps and was amazed how much easier it turned. But Applied doesn't show them for the 04.
Thanks

I think they do interchange. The only question is whether the '04 stem is the same size at it's base. But I may be able to help you out. Check your PM's.

I have an applied stem sitting right here on my desk, it says 98-06 YZ 250& YZ/WR 4XXF Long tube Part# 5033. I do know that the 125 stem is shorter, so the the 250F is most likely shorter as well.

Yes as long as you swap the forks, clamps and axle.

The 06 forks will fit an 04/05 clamps, but you will need to either use the 06 axle, shim the 04/05 axle, or re-dish the front wheel.

That's not quite right. The entire front wheel/axle/spacers, etc., on an '06 are the exact same parts as on the '03-'05. The difference is that the fork tubes stand 2mm farther apart on the '06. To allow the same axles and wheels to interchange, the axle lugs on the bottom of the forks were moved inboard 1mm each, thus keeping the original wheel spacing intact.

If you were to use '06 forks in earlier clamps, you would need to turn 1mm off of the brake side wheel spacer in order for it to work.

If you install the complete '06 or later fork and clamps on an earlier model, your front wheel will drop right in and fit perfectly.
