I have heard with the new changes to the 07 the lowering kit is not necessary and i think you have to buy a new header pipe just to do it?? $$$$$$

For the 450 you have to have a Dr. D header (which can only be used with a Dr. D silencer) to use the radiator lowering kit. This is not the case on the YZ250F. In my opinion, it is worth it on the 250F since you don't have to buy a complete system if you don't want to. If you are already planning on using a Dr. D complete system, then I say go for it.
