With the stock tank in place, I find it is hard to check/change the plug with normal tools. Is there a special tool available, or a techinque I am not famaliar with that makes changing/checking the plug on this bike 'pit fast"? Please let me know if you can. Thanks...:worthy:

My bike came with a spark plug socket..and it works..with the tank on..
Sad, But it was the only tool it came with..
I can remember bikes before came with a few tools...:worthy:

When I bought this bike I was not thinking about trail tools, but you never know... I guess it is better to be safe then to be sorry. :D

A standard size 5/8" spark plug socket will fit in there. You can use a ratchet, but you'll have to put the socket in before you attach the ratchet. It will wear out your fingers unscrewing it, but it's not hard.

The factory spark plug tool that some people never got is a POS anyways. Don't worry if you didn't get one, you're not missing much. An emergency tool at best.

I like my factory spark plug tool just fine. Yes, it's a cheaply manufactured tool--but it works. I like that it doesn't weigh much in my tool wrap and doesn't require a ratchet to use.
