I was wondering also,anyone?looks cool and i trust yamaha but i would like to know if its hush enough without sacraficing power.Hate to fork out the bucks if its a turd. Thanks

Anything will yield more power than stock...even quiet mufflers.

Works great tons more power but a bit louder then stock with end cap,I may switch back when I ride the mountains in the summer,looks trick,went on easy and has an awsome sound just a tad loud for my taste but way more quiet then the other bikes I was with,all with aftermarket pipes.

Just confirm that you got the quiet slip on muffler and you still thought it was loud??

i am looking into a new race pipe for next year, and it needs to be under 96db.

Yea It Was The One Pictured Above. I Dont Know Exactly But It Seemed A Bit Loud Wish I Had A Meter.

I did a little trick today,I welded another inch and a half on the end of the round exit tube pointed down somewhat,made it a bunch quieter with the exhaust pointed down abit and didn't hurt performance and doesn't melt my turn signal anymore,would work on other pipes also try it.

I have an older version on my 2004 Wr250(Looks like a shiny 40oz. Tall can), bought the bike with the pipe included, very loud w/o end cap(Obnoxious Kid owned it.)No respect for the elderly and hard of hearing.So, I ordered the end cap and will put it in soon(need to order the bolt, which they did'nt care to mention was necessary, The cap is supposed to increase power and lower Db to 96(legal limit as of now). We'll see.My neighbors are giving me the finger everytime I ride(Too loud for them to hear Matlock),I guess I'm doing us all a favor by buying the GYT-R cap(Looks like an Incan Pan pipe)"musical motocross anyone"?,but I kinda like the rumble it has now(like being at NASCAR) makes the heart skip a beat, but Quiet is the way these days if we wan't any chance of riding anywhere close to civilization.(Which is everywhere!). My wife wonders how I can stand the noise, I just say "What was that? I couldn't hear you. Damn this ringing in my ears, can't hear $#!*. I've heard the FMF is better but I couldn't tell you. Keep you updated if i get the Bird next time I buzz the neighbors.
