changing gears?????

just bought a 01 426 when i change gears its hard to tell what gear im in(3 4 5) when im trail riding and not paying attn. u i dont feel the click in the shifter. i only can tell usually by the sound is that normal with this bike

You'll know you're in 5th when you try to shift to 6th and it's not there. Otherwise, all you can tell is if the gear you're in is too high or too low and should be shifted.

eventually you should be able to feel what gear the bike is in the by the speed to rpm ratio
