Will a XR650L motor fit into a XL600R frame? Looks like the mounts are the same. If so I might have me a line on a motor with all the bells and whistles needed for the swap.
Thanx in advance for any advice or info!

I can only offer an educated guess. I have heard the XL has a different bore and stroke than the XT but the same bottom end, so if that is true it will fit. I hope someone else who is more knowlageable answers because Im not sure but its likely it will fit. Youll meded the wiring harness out of the XR650L too though as it has an electric start....and different CDI box, coil, and stator.

I think it'll be a direct bolt in deal. I have a buddy who has a 06 XR650L and his bike looks exactlly the same as my 96 XR600R. His has e-start and all the street leagal BS on it.
