I wanted to get the 190 kit but they will only sell the whole kit cam and all. I only need the piston and sleeve, I would guess someone makes those for them just have to find out who. What if you wear the thing out obviously you can't just bore it and put in an oversize piston. You need to buy a whole new kit just to rebuild?

well i am reasearching it now, i will have my 190 kit monday and let you know what they did. i think the bottom end of these engines are off something else, why would the cases be bored at 73mm when it only uses a 57mm piston? so once that part is figuired out then you can match a cylinder to it. is it the quadsport230? is it the klx250? someone here knows and is not spilling the beans but i have alot of friends along with myself that has been building engines for years and together we will get to the bottom of it. i know he is getting the pistons made as i have never seen a piston bigger than 65.5mm with a 14mm pin, but i also have a hook up for custom made pistons.

There is a link on the EO website to Northwest Sleeve, but no link to a piston company. Does EO really expect us to buy a whole kit just to rebuild. When I talked to the they said they sell stuff separately for some bikes but not for the DRZ125 that was when I hung up the phone. What Cam did you get with the 190 kit?

i got the 330x2, it is the megacycle drz race cam, it has basicly the same spec as yours but a tad less lift, if i feel it does not pull hard enough i will be getting the cam you have for the quadsport 230. the reason they dont want to sell you anything seperate is because they are protecting there as$ because once someone figuires out what they did (which i will) the price on there kit will be a joke. you figuire the cam is $110, the springs are $50 and the gaskets are another $50, i can get custom pistons made for $125 each so that leaves about $500 for the cylinder, come on thats fckn a joke.

Seems like the only thing left to do is call Northwest Sleeve! Let me know how you make out with your 190, I would guess with the 190 pumping more air you can't go wrong with the extra lift of the 393-00.

ya, ok i tore down the stocker, bottomend is def not made for the  drz/klx125, cases are bored at 72.8mm. bottom end is more than likely off suzuki's bigger bikes like the drz250, lt230 or something like that. the od of the stock sleeve is 70mm but they turned it down to 64mm at the engine case side, why i dont know. so all you need to do is find a 72mm or 73mm od sleeve x 100mm long and your good to go but where do you find a 70mm x 14mm wrist pin piston? biggest i have seen is 65.5mm x 14mm pin from akunar.com

found the sleeve thats needed from akunar.com, they have them for about $25+ freight. also if anyone wants some cheap hp the stock quadsport230 cam has more lift and duration than the hotcam. stock cams can be found on ebay for about $20.

Quick work locating the sleeve, do you have a part# for it? What about the piston? Good point on the stock 230 cam, IMO a far better choice than hotcam.

http://www.akunar.com/SLEEVES_ak.htm you need the 65x74x100 sleeve. still nothing on the piston but you can get a 65.5 from akunar while your at it and have 166cc.

Wow! Looks like some choices in compression. Any idea what what those domes and deck heights will run for a compression ratio with the DRZ125 head. I have an extra cylinder and would be willing to try the 166.

yea, dont worry they are a very good company. i have delt with them for over a year with no problems, they air freight everthing and you will have it in 5 days. i just found out something else, someone slipped and said the dr100 ignition works with the drz/klx125 eliminating the rev limiter. hmmm also heard the EO piston is from JE piston, maybe someone should call them to conferm they have a 70mmx14mm pin piston.

Can you tell us what the numbers are on that 230 cam?
If I recall, the hotcams cam is the better choice, although if you can find one for $20, its a good upgrade for the money.

Hackmuch is right that the EO 190 piston is from JE but you need a new liner for the 190 piston.  JE don't have the piston in their catelogue so I'm thinking it may be a special for EO
