I am seriously contemplating swapping the stock transmission gearing of my 2002 YZ 426 for the wider-ratio of the WR gears. Mainly looking for a lower 1st & taller 5th.

Curious ... between the lack of flywheel & 19" rear wheel is the transmission change a big enough alteration to merit the time & expense?

I have heard nothing but good things about this swap and I would do it myself if I had the time or money. I know how you feel wanting the lower first I would love that for the trails that are by my house. I rarely make it outta 2nd on my sisters ttr125 let alone the 426. Most of my time is spent coasting and just slippin the clutch every now and then for forward momentum till i get to the next open spot. But thats just me ramblin.
