I'm ready to store my '06 yz450 for the winter and I'm curious what the best way is to drain the float bowl without making a mess everywhere, and short of ripping the carburator out.

I just drained my bowl last n ight. It's really simple. There is an allen head screw on the bottom towards the rear of the carb, it has a drain hose comming off it. Just open it up and drain the bowl through the hose. the screw faces out, so it's really easy to access. Hope this helps.

be sure to do it outside or have a bowl sitting under the bike.
