Actually, all he needs to do is slide the outer "stiffener" piece all the way down then put a zip ty at the top so it doesn't slide up.  Good catch, as is it could get caught!

How did you notice that?
I'm having some trouble bleeding it, can that be a problem?
Is just that I feel the brake too soft!
I have the Honda master cylinder, a 270 disc brake, new pads and a new brake hose.

Love this bike, getting my suspension done Friday.  Just need some billet red hubs and then just maintain and rip on it for a few years.

Thanks man. I look through this thread and there are a lot of great looking bikes, doesn't matter what year, Suzukis easily look the best out of the 5 big brands and they seem to age better too.  Some of these '05 models in here look better than competators '12s.

Indeed.  That 455 machine is very pretty.  You are right- I have owned all of them but Suzuki until now and can already tell that this bike is gonna stay fresh for longer than the others.  The aluminum doesn't seem to want to stain as bad and of course its just a joy to work on.  Boy I think if Suzuki ever polished their hubs like KTM it would be unreal!  I am lacing up some DIDs right now and didn't have the heart$  to buy new ones.  Anyone have the stockers turned down and polished?

Good call, I have actually thought about getting some billet hubs.  KTMs look nicely finished in comparison to ours.

Btw, have you ever laced a set of wheels before?  I would do it if it is not that difficult.

Yes.  It really isn't too difficult.  I usually pull them both off and have one to the side of me for reference in case my mind goes blank!  Honestly though you figure out the pattern quickly and lace them within a couple hours.  After that I take them down to one of the dealerships here that has a gentleman who has ben doing wheels for many years and I have him true them and torque them.  I feel that it is money well spent since I am not doing it all the time.  I suppose I can ivest in a truing stand but I am not building wheels often enough.
