This is a real nice rack, have one on my bike and it is really heavy duty.

Looks too small to me, and it raises turn signals, not good.

That rack is made of hollow tube steel. I E-mailed the guy that makes it and he confirmed that. There is another on E-bay that is made out of solid round tube, I bought that one and it's strong and light, I can pick up the back end of the bike and move it in the garage.

Square steel tubing is much stronger than solid round steel. There is much more of a surface which in turn is able to spread weight and force over a much larger area. Also this rack has 5 mounting points, most others have 3.

I put diamond tread on mine. It holds quite a bit. I have gone away for the weekend and taken everything with me on it.

Now as for this remark. Hollow is stronger then solid? Really, I asked the one of the Engineers at Warn Industries, you know that place that makes winches, ATV bumpers, Brush guards, wenches, Bumpers, and all sorts of other off road stuff about this, and he laughed out loud! So the question on everyones mind is this.. Are you getting any money this? Or are you just trying to mislead everyone on a power trip? Or is there some other reason why you would flip flop so much? Inquiring mind want to know!

Yeah, I think the guy is making the racks and selling them on ebay, the way he talks about them and all, things not big enough to put a milk crate on, which by the way is the best thing to haul stuff in if your running errands.

The best rack out there by far is the xrs only rack, its light, strong and looks damn cool.

If you look it's a Happy Trails Rack and the last time I checked I didn't own the company.

I have the Happy Trails rack like this one on my L. Works fine. I like the 5 mounts, really solid. It was a bit fiddly to mount the first time. I think one of the big reasons I liked it over the XR's Only/Promoto rack is you keep the tool bag, although I did turn my toolbag around so I could get to the zipper easier. I haven't noticed an issue with the relocated blinkers. I bolted a Givi base plate to it with expands the rack area and now I can snap any of the GIVI cases I have for my street bike to it. I have a 52L trunk that I can put my laptop and workout bag in no problem for riding to work. I throw all my gear in it then once I get there so I don't have to carry it in to the office.

Downside is the rack sits higher than others though and I've noticed it'll smack me in the butt sometimes in whoops.

From an engineering standpoint square tubing is stonger than solid steel of the same diameter just as steel I-beam is stronger than a solid steel beam. That is why they build skyscrapers with it and not solid steel beams.

Why do you feel that I am trying to convince everyone of anything, I just put it out there because it was a really good deal on that particular rack. Maybe if you pull your redneck head out of your a$$ you would see that.
