Quick question, I have a 2003 yz450f and a 2006 yz450f. I just bought a set of new black rims and hubs for the 03, and now want to put them on my new 06. I checked the oem part numbers for the hubs, and I think the front was the same and the rear different, or could be the other way around. Anyway, I was just wondering if the wheels off my 03 would fit the 06? Has anyone swapped them over. Thanks.

Thanks, also what is my best bet for finding a set to put back on the 03. I am going to sell the bike now that I have an 06, but want the wheels. Anyone out there have a set for cheap? Thanks.

Why not just put on your stock wheels from the 06.

I have used an 03 rear wheel on my 06 as a spare (practice tire) but you should use the 06 spacers to make it fit right.

I have 02 spacers in the 02 rear wheel that is on my 06.
I think the fronts are the same alsobut I don' have spacers for the front.

Its been a while since I tried it, but if I remember right the spacers that came with my 03 wheel would fit if you forced them but they fit tighter than the 06 spacers. I don't know if the diffence is a big deal (probably not if you have used them with out any problems), but if you already have 06 spacers why not go that route and then you know its right?

I think you are ok. I have used 06 spacers with 02 wheels.
