I have a wr450 I have done the gray wire mod I just bought a new FMF Pipe. I also bought the carb kit. FMF sent me the idle screw???? and a few other parts I live and ride any where from 4000' to 9500' elevation. Can any one help me with a good starting point and or good link with Good diractions on how to set this up for optimum performance

go to the jetting sticky at the top of the forum. indy posted a great starting point for everyone that is great.

i highly recommend the JD kit. it was worth the money.

Do the "free mods" listed in the jetting forum and follow Indy's advice on jetting, as mentioned. The more you open up your air flow (e.g. air box, exhaust, muffler), the more fuel you're going to need (e.g. larger main jet, lower needle setting, etc.). You'll also find tutorials on this site for doing the carb work, like http://www.thumperta...ad.php?t=309069 and http://www.thumperta...027#post2661027.

Have fun with your new bike!
