I have a 05 450f with 40 hours on it and no mechanical problems. Just spent 25 minutes searching on T.T. (timing chain) for some basic instructions on replacing my timing chain and didn't come up with much? I've taken Grey's advise on replacing the timing chain at 40 hours so, it's time. The only engine maintenance I have done with this bike since I owned it was valve inspection and I'm now too familiar with major engine repair/maintenance so I'm looking for some tips on doing this before I run into any problems. Anyone have some basic instructions on how to remove and install a timing chain? Links? Thanks!

 40 hours? That's almost twice a season for me, and I'm sure lots more for others. Can it be?

I don't think I said 40 hours. I usually recommend once a year, or possibly twice a year if the bike is raced every week and practiced on. More like 80-100 hours.
