I recently purchased a very low mileage Dual Sported 02 650R that according to the seller has a "HRC baja racing cam". It doesn't feel much different than my somewhat tired non ds 650r. Is there any way to visually identify the hrc cam without removing it?

I believe the stock cam has a exhaust cam lobe that rotates slightly for starting/anti-backfire purposes while the HRC and Hotcams do not. The stock cam keeps the exhaust valve open slightly until the bike reaches about 600 RPM to keep the motor spinning the correct direction when you kick start it. Check it out online somewhere.
