450 or 250 WR

Get the 450. Don't do the free mods @ first. Then as you want more power and get used to it, start doing them. You wont be sorry. Let me know if you need any advise or help. I am in castle Rock.

Yep, that's always a concern when a small bore bike has to do some roads or open terrain. But fighting a heavier bike in technical trails is not much fun either. The good news is that the later model WR450's "feel" a lot lighter then the earlier WR's you might be familar with and are less top heavy. If an all new 07 is in the equation for you, that might just raise the bar again and could "feel" even lighter then the few pounds weight savings over the current model implies...although that will have to be proven!
Any good places to get information and advise? The light weight 250 sounds nice but i am concerned the power is a little to weak for the altitude.

Otherwise everyone else is right, the 450 is the way to go for street and trail riding.

I have had my 450 for almost two years now but probably should have started out with a 250, but my pause in riding was 18 years, now I would not like to have anything else than the 450.
