I wanted to raise my forks on my 06 450F as has been recommended, what is the best way to do this? Should I remove the front wheel or just loosen the clamps and slide them up?

Just loosen the clamps and slip them up. It's easier to slide them up if there's a little weight on the front end.

Grey is correct as usual. Just loosen than up and slide.
