How hard would it be to find parts for a '74 Yamaha 125MX? My brother is into 2-strokes and wants a 125 because he currently rides a banshee. Well i found a, you guessed it, '74 Yamaha 125mx for $600 OBO. The guy said that it has a ton of new ignition stuff and i asked him about compression and suspension and he said they were all good. Now i know to look at the bike befor I buy but if it's all origional, (like the guy said) and never rebuilt thats awesome, but again, what will i have to do to find parts? :ride:

Vintage Yamahas are not hard to find parts for. If your local Yamaha dealer was around back when this bike was current, they should have the microfische parts lists and that will get you part numbers. Many parts should be still available from the dealer via special order, and if you're lucky, he may have some in his inventory.
