Hi there

Got a Xt 600 -88 witch i am really happy with.
Only issue is the small gas tank on her , just 10 liters.
The former owner gave me a 25 liters acebris tank with the bike. Only problem , it was a mixup when he ordered it , so he got one for a TT 600 insted. And it was ordered a few years ago , so kinda late to try swapping it. Frame is supposed to be the same size , but problem is the XT got a bolt in fron of the seat and two round balls to slide the tank on further towards the front.
The TT got some kind of a rubberstrap thats supposed to connect by the seat , and a pice of metal that goes under the frame to hold the tank in place.

First tought was to weld new fastening points , but with a plastic tank that can be a problem. And dont want to mess up the frame to much. JB weld , think that will hold new fasteningpoints in the tank ?

Any toughts on how to solve it is welcome.

JB Weld is most certainly strong enough to hold the new points to the Chassis. Sorry I can't relate to the conversion, but sounds like it is definitely possible with some creation
