Just wanted to see who is getting a 07 yz450f, and what prices they are getting them for? I am going to buy one my self, but have not spoken prices yet to any dealers. My next question is anyone in the LA - Santa Clarita area buying one as maybe we can get them at a good price if a few are bought at the same time.

Got a 03 and a 06....yzf...been on yamahas since 1998 and hondas before that....
if I buy a 07 450 it may be a yami or possibly a kawi - that bike is really ready for prime time, with most every 06 issue straigtened out. The 07 yami - is sweet but not that much better than a 06....or I will wait for a 08

As soon as my CRF sells, I'll be crossing over to the Dark Side!! I've never had a Yamaha before.

Only people from the Dark Side call this the Dark Side.

But we welcome you into The Light, nevertheless.

Thanks...I used to be a Honda only guy, but since I got my KX500 I've found that as long as you keep the nuts and bolts tight, they are all good.

I am also thinking about "seeing the light" and coming over from the yellow side, 05 rmz 450. Should I try to snap up a leftover 06 or will the 07 be worth the extra $$

Most all of the field fixes popularly applied to the '06 have been integrated into the '07. The bars are higher by 7mm, and the head angle has been steepened, so the forks probably no longer need to be pulled up. The character of the engine power has been slightly changed according what limited pre-release info there is to read, but what that means remains to be seen. Yamaha has a good history of making little year-to-year refinements that don't seem like much to talk about individually, but that tend to "add up" taken as a whole. The '07 WILL be a better bike than the '06, but a properly set up '06 is at least eye-to-eye with anything else available, so the question becomes one of bang for the buck. At the current difference in prices, and on my budget, I'd buy the '06.

That, of course, without having ridden an '07.
