Hey gang:

Took my XR600 ('97, but new to me) out riding, and suddenly I had NO rear brake.

I looked at the brake fluid reservoir, and it was low.

Now, I've heard that I can fill the brake fluid, and bleed the brakes.

Will that restore my brake?

Or do I need a mechanic?

Welcome to TT,
Add brake fluid, Bleed the brakes...If no leaks test ride and see how they are, The master cyl. might need rebuilt...or the caliper, but it will most likely leak if it's bad....
