1976 XT500C owner ?

Back in August 2000 I bought a Yamaha XT500C .I am trying to trace the original owner, but don't have much info to help me.

It seems that the bike might have spent most of its life in California.

A document shows an owner back in 1985 as 'STEVEN B NELSON', of 'VIA VERDE, CAPASTRANO BEACH CA'

I found another document today in the little 'pull out' container under the left hand side panel that would take a spare spark plug I asume.It is a 'CALIFORNIA DMV' 'ticket', but it had no personal details on it.

Anyone out there ever traced an owner before ?
