Cylinder Question.

I'm pretty sure I know what the answer is but I just want too make sure.I have a RPM Ice Cube 276 and I am putting in a new piston.The cylinder walls have no cross hatch at all does it need to be ball honed(No wise cracks) ,Thanks.

A ball hone will not cut a new cross hatch into the bore surface. If you've thoroughly cleaned the surface, and there truly is no cross hatch left, the plating is worn out.
