06 piston in 05?

does using the 06 piston in the 05 boost compression to 13.5:1 ?

no, and from what i hear it wont work on your 05 period, its a completely different part number, plus you wouldnt want to make a stock piston run 13.5:1, its ment to run 12.5:1, if you want more compression just buy a high comp. piston

NO it does not boost your compression. But go ahead and try it if you want.

i thought the 06 ran 13.5:1 with a stock piston. and the 05 12.9:1 and the only diff was the piston. o'well maybe not

The 06 piston will fit on the 05, the major difference is that the 06 uses a thinner compression ring. If you run the 06 piston you need to run the 06 ring set.
