How hot can the header get?

how hot does the header get, i want to paint it black but don't know how hot it will get? 2000+?

they get to about 800-1000% i believe. why do you want to paint it?

I know you can buy exhaust paint, don't remember where though.

Becareful what paint you put on. I used to work for OEM exhaust system manufacturer. The paint needs to withstand 1500 F. If not, don't even bother.

Here is a link to a site that sells exhaust grade spray paint.
Hi Heat exhaust paint
Make sure that you follow the instructions. If you don't, it will either flake off or wear off very easily.
