Does a new OEM Cylinder need to be honed?

Just got a new cylinder, and am wondering if I need to get it honed, or if it comes from the factory ready to go...

Ordered it from the TT store, and it has a very light crosshatch, but that could just be the machining...

Thanks!

No it doesn't...just put it on and go.

Actually the Chrome plating on the cylinder doesn't take a hone very well.

Even most used cylinders can be used over and over w/o honing. The aluminum piston wears but the cylinder rarely does.
