Fuel Screw

I installed a zip ty fuel screw the other day and set it to what the original one was and everything was fine. I was warming the bike up to change the oil and decided to mess with the screw some. To my surprise it seemed to make little to no difference???? The pilot is a 48 and I am at 500 asl. Bike runs fine just was expecting something to change like the idle. Is the pilot to lean? Just wondering ?
