Well, I am doing the first ever valve adjustment in my 400s 8 year life...And I need help before my races tomorrow night and on Sunday.

I can't get the Manual decomp to go back in right...The little screw on the kickstarter side of the head will screw about half way in, then it gets crooked...And since it has a copper washer on it, I know it has to sit right to make a tight seal...

Help! What should I do?

I can get pics if need be.
