Ready Oil Filter - Question

Recommended Posts

Hi, stupid question, But.

Which way does the filter go in?

One end has a small ball bearing in it and the other the hole with the rubber seal, for the life of me cant remember which way.

Cheers

Ps you are welcome to laugh ?

If you were using the OEM cover, instead of the one they sold you for bait, you wouldn't be asking that. The stock cover has an extension that goes out into the oil outlet hole in the filter, precisely to eliminate the possibility of someone installing the filter backwards. Doing so will cut off the engine's oil supply completely. ? Other than that, there's no problem with it.

How do they work, the ready filter oil filter i mean?I want to purchase one for my 2007 but have heard of them not fitting like oem.

Just buy a Scott's Stainless Steel one from Thumpertalk. Not saying anythings wrong with the Ready, just it's proven that the Scott's is good stuff.

Can you use the stock cover with the Ready?

Thanks, the Ready filters seam fine, have only be using it for about 25hrs but seams ok. The stock cover doesn't fit so they supply there own one, A bit of advertising for them as well I guess.
