aluminum frame for xr600/650l

has anyone successfully put a xr600 or 650l motor into a lighter stiffer aluminum frame?

Well,not exactly Aluminum but I think a little lighter,check right here in this forum this thread "giving life to an old friend" this guy is using an ATK frame and a CR front...

no, its not true at all....600 and 650L motors cant even really be compared to 650R's.... totaly different.

But I think what he is asking is has anyone put a 650L motor into like a cr250 frame....which i have heard of but never seen.

I know they put GSXR engines in YZ250 frames but they don't trail ride them.

Thats not lighter either, I once saw a MXA article where they put an XR600R motor in a one off alloy frame, had WP suspension, all carbon fiber bodywork, weighed 240 lbs full of gas....they said it handled better than allot of the MX250s of the time, and was way faster...this was about 98 or so. I think it was a BBR or something? Cost them about 15 grand to do it, but it was an HRC XR630R and alloy frame, carbon....looked like it was made by Aprillia, or Bimota or some Itallian company, BE YOU TEE FULL! All billet shit too...anodized red...

yeah, cause they would die. He said light....the only thing light on a MXGSXR is the front end when you twisty the loud handle!
