What is a 2000 XRR with a plate worth?

Recommended Posts

I am trying to trade my 525MXC and have an offer for this. My 525 is a 2004 and worth approx $4500. I assume the XRR is around $3500 with a plate? It has the normal protection, hand guards and skid plate but other than that stock except for the plate. Any ideas? Thanks guys.

If it is absolute cheeryness it is worth 4k, otherwise 3500 if it is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic. If it looks and is in basically showroom shape, never been dropped, and not ridden much or hard, then 4~4500 aint entirely too much. I saw one 2001 had about 30 original hours on it was owned by an older guy like me and it had never been down. He wanted $4250.00 for it and punks were going over asking if he would take 3k 2500 and crap like that, i wished I would have had the money, I would have offored him 4K and got a baasically brand new 01 XR650R....it was like a new bike, not a scratch...BD kit too, just not plated yet.

Is it a 600 or a 650? I think they made them both in 2000.

They made both that year...

as for the XR600R...I picked my 2000 XR600R (with aftermarket exhaust, carb mod, Endurance dig speedo, etc.) up in FL, street legal with tags for $2200. Great condition...just a thought

I paid $3,750 for my '00 XR650R a couple of months ago. It had just about all the aftermarket stuff you can get other than internal motor mods. Has dual sport kit, Excell rims, talon rear hub, aftermarket tank, bars, skid plate, air filter, speedo, springs, etc. It has very low hours. I feel like I paid a fair price for it considering its condition. The real value is in buying one already fitted out with all the goodies. They rarely add that much to the sale. I'm guessing mine had about $1,800 in aftermarket stuff on it that had almost no time on them. I've seen one like mine for as much as $4,500.

He has "uncorked" the bike and put a HJC? tip in the exhaust. He has Cycra handguards and an aftermarket seat, no motor mods. It is a realativley stock bike. The only aspect I am worried about is that the plate was put on the bike on 2 weeks ago. Since my main reason for buying this bike is the plate, I don't want to end up with a bike much heavier and a bit older than my KTM and end up without a plate should the DMV decide they made a mistake. Descisions, descisions.
