Test Rides...

I've been to two dealers and both refused test rides based on liability (plus they don't prep the bikes till bought).

Is this common?

What is it you're trying to ride at the dealer?

yup, though there are shops that will let you test ride.

Dirt bikes..no, no test riding allowed. Street bikes....some are available, some aren't. Bottom line is really that the dealership doesn't want to give out JOY rides, which is what most test rides turn out to be.

kinda like "test driving" a Viper in Las Vegas a few years ago...had to buy new tires, almost got sued. Good thing it was used.......OOOOOPS!

That and when u first get on a different bike is when you are most likely to lay it down...
