Anyone have an SDG tall foam seat? Whatcha think?

I got a sponsorship offer from SDG, but honestly wasn't that big of a fan of the tall seat on my CRF. The foam was much too soft. Anyone have one on their 06? Feed me.

No Redbeard - I have a regular SDG seat on my 03....it is rock hard, I hate it....I want to get a tall soft seat for it.....what does a SDG Tall cost? Be aware the SDG rear brackets usually do not have a great fit until you hammer down on them...otherwise you have a large gap between the seat and rear fender ?

My 06 seat foam is nice and cushy...just needs a nice seat cover....GYTR makes a nice one.

My freind has one on his '06 CRF450 and it's a brick, he said he hates it, but personally I rode it and loved it. Oh and I'm going to be moving out to AZ in a year, we may have to ride together man. ?

I took my seat to a local trim shop and had them add an inch of foam. They let me feel different materials and decide which one to use. My seat feels like a sofa now.

I'm going to be in college (ASU), so somewhere around Phoenix area, was looking at Mesa, Glendale, Scottsdale, etc...surrounding cities.

I was thinking of getting a step seat for my '06 as well, but I guess I don't really need it too bad.

Last time I checked...a month ago or so SDG did not have a seat ready for the '06.

I emailed a salesman at SDG a couple months ago and they told me that the tall seat for the 06 yz450f won't be available until Fall...so that narrows it down!

I agree with the "Bearded One", the SDG's are like sitting on my recliner, the stock seat a little hard for me. I had a tall seat on my 250f and loved it, I'll be ordering another as soon as I can...I think it was $90-$100 or something.

I had a Guts racing high hard seat foam on my 04 that was great, when I built my 05 I bought another one that was too soft for me, I could feel the sub frame in my butt. I put the 04 seat back on it.

When I built the 06 I called and complained that it was too soft in 05, I think it was Jamie that said Ill do you a favor and getcha a hard one.

Well this thing is KTM hard, anyway you can request different densities of foam from them they are always cool. I bought it in December before I even took delivery of the bike.

I have a Ceet tall on my 426 now and dont like it. I thought 'tall' would equal softer, but I was wrong. I'd sell it for $65 + shipping if anyone wants it. It's practically brand new

If you look at the CEET as well as the Moose tall seats, atleast in my experiences, they are SDG seats with different seat covers. The first SDG tall seat I got was too soft but the last one was hard as a rock and that's how I like them. I'm waiting for SDG to release the tall one for the 06, hopefully soon.

This seat cover is just too slick. I think I might buy a step kit from Guts.
