Does anyone know of any problem wiring both high and low beams together on a Baja Designs halogen headlight? The bike will have enough juice, I'm just concerned about the possibility of melting something in the headlight shell itself. The lens is glass.

When dirt rider was putting a 650L through a 24-hour endurance test (over 10 years ago?), they wired the headlight switch so that both the high beem and low beam were on at the same time. The bulb went out.

Just get a halogen H4 80/100W. You'll be good up through 100mph in the desert.

Thanks Sean, had not considered the bulb issue, but guess that would be a problem as well. Will try the higher wattage bulb instead.
Thx
