stock spring rate for 1999 YZ400?

Recommended Posts

what is it? the first owner of my bike had suspension work done by Noleen back in 2000. the little handbook paper thing says the fork spring rate is .45 kg/mm. is this stock, or stiffer than stock? the forks are a little harsh.

also, how do I bleed the air from the forks? I've never done it.

Stock spring rate- .46 so stiffer, and to bleed the air, see the small screw on top of the fork? Not the one in the center, but the smaller one off to the side? Unscrew it in-between moto's or after riding and you will hear air come out, if your bikes been sitting for a few hours the air will be gone and you will hear none come out, I usually forget about it when I'm at the track and by the time Im home and done with everything there's no air in them.

Hope I helped.
