Anyone know of a place around Ohio that has any great deals on a WR450F?
I know the 2007 modes will be out soon, but I am thinking of a leftover 06.
Also, has anyone went to this bike from a CRF450?

I remember a dealer near Toledo that had pretty good prices but I can't think of the name. There can't be many. They'd also quote via e-mail.

The WR450F and CRF450R are very different bikes designed for completely different riding.
IF you mean the CRF450X pm me with a email address and I'll forward a pdf of a Dirt Bike Mag. comparason of the two and other 06 e-start 450's. It helped me decide on the WR.

No, I have an 02 CRF450 and am wondering about going to the WR. I am also thinking about the CRF450X but a local shop (where I just bought my son's TTR-50) said they'd make me a great deal on an 06 that they have on the floor. I think they have a few left and want to make room for the 07's.
I have even thought about going down to a 250, but am worried that I won't like the power. :ride:

If you have a CRF450 now and your a capable rider I would expect you'd be disappointed with any 250.
The WR450 is an awsome trail bike and great enduro machine but its not a MX bike. I've had both my WR and CRF on trails where the WR is much better. Almost un-stallabale after properly jetted an I dropped one tooth on the driver. In stock form they top out at over 90 mph. Way more than I'll need for any trail in PA so I loose the tooth and have a bike that 'tractors' thru tight trails and still has a good high end.
I looked at the 'x' too and didn't want to risk the potential valve problems the red bikes are supposed to have. Ended up wanting to ride MX tracks too and got ahold of a nice 03 CRF.
After having both, the WR is still the better on trails and higher reliability the the 'x' is supposed to be.

Define capable :ride: I'm OK. I'll be 37 in two months and have a wife and two kids, so I tend to be a bit reserved when I ride. The problem is, I don't get a chance to ride that much :ride: I like MX and trails. I don't get into huge jumps, maybe 25-30 ft doubles or tabletops and even those make me uneasy. I like technical hill climbs more than those that send you tumbling down to the bottom if you don't make it. I wish I could ride a 250 to see about the power issue.
Where in PA are you? I rode up in New Bethlem 2 summers ago. Tons of trails.

I'm in the Newark/Heath area about 30 miles east of Columbus.
Thanks for the link. I looked at them last night. I have relatives in Toledo so a trip up would allow me to visit them as well.
