Tecate to Cabo in like 4 nights/5 Days. Then stay in Cabo a couple of nights and take about 3 days to get back to Tecate. About 8-9 nights total.
Maybe like 6-8 riders. We can do about 200 miles a day. We can plan this thing out and make it happen if we get the response.
I guess it depends on how much asphalt you are planning to do.
When we ride to Cabo we generally start from Ensenada because the trip is long enough as it is (doing Tecate would add a few miles) and getting the tourist visas is easier going thru TJ.
We go one-way to Cabo and usually end up at about 1300 to 1450 miles.
We do it with either 8 or 9 riding days to reach Cabo.
Our total amount of asphalt is usually pushing 200 mi.
Our mileage on easy gravel dual-sport type dirt roads
seems endless.
We mix in quite a bit of really rough old beat up dirt roads and also some pretty gnarly single-track sections (if the group is up for it).
IMO you
could get to Cabo in 5 riding days, with a VERY solid group of 7 riders (meaning you can't have laggers, crashers, or bike problems), but you'd be missing a LOT of the best Baja has to offer.
What's the rush?? Take more time and zig-zag more going South, check things out, stay at really great night stops, eat better food, spend more time on the dirt,,,, enjoy it, don't rush it!!!
