I know it doesn't have fancy graphics or carbon fiber or bling but It's a low budget trail monster. Next on the list is suspension

Very clean bike, especially for a 2000! Go out and get it dirty!

Is that a WC skid plate? I am trying to figure out which one I should buy. I definitely want a trail one like you have. How do you like it?

NICE! Specs?

Where did you get the graphics? Are they the original or something?

I want to replace the stickers on mine but I want to put the original back on.

It is a Moose skid plate but it was manufactured by Utah skid plate company and Utah also makes MSR skid plates so all of them are identical. I definately like it except it echoes a little bit when your sitting down but when you stand up it gets really loud.

I had the same issue with my skid plate from Utah Sport Cycle. Get some bulk air filter foam from Uni and cut it to fit between the guard and the frame and add some neoprene washers to the bolts. This will cut out most of the resonating sound coming off of that snow shovel. :excuseme:

Your step seat kind of defeats the whole purpose of a step seat, they're s'posed to keep your butt up the front of the bike. You would have been better off adding a bit of foam on the back of the seat to make the step, rather than carving the foam out and moving your butt position further back. Notice how RC's cutout is more forward, it's only a few inches, but it does make a difference. http://www.motocross...E42374180377DC9

It's a lowered seat meant for hillclimbing. It helps me get further back on the seat while still being in control. And it helps me touch the ground better. It really comes in handy during summer when it's impossible to find good traction.

If you are going to mod your suspension, have it lowered by 1" to 1 1/2" while it is being worked on. Makes the bike feel much lighter and makes those unwanted stops climbing hills much more manageable:-) Great mod I did to my 400.
