The only thing I like about the new WR is the headlamp.

YZ rear fender stock? You can't easily hang a plate off it and expect it to last.

I haven't even had my bike a year and I feel EXTREMELY out dated. I love the new WR. I can't part with my 05 at the moment but I wouldn't mind having one.

I do like how the top of the tank is black though and the headlight looks sweet! But all this wait for pretty much the same bike? I mean ok it has the new frame but it still weighs more than my 05. Thought they were going to suprise me! Guess not!

Nah, my next bike will be a Yamaha, but a TTR-50E for my kid. I think the innovation award might just have to go to the Great Pumpkin. Their 450 XC-G is calling to me in my dreams. But, my '05 WR isn't goin' anywhere for a long while. I'm gonna have to give the new WR 4 out of 5 bananas. After all the hype and anticipation, it just ain't all that and a bag of chips...cocktail peanuts, maybe ? ...SC

I don't know that I'm disappointed. I raced quads when I was younger in the late 90's and the quad to have if you really wanted to go fast and have good EVERYTHING was a 250R. To me that was funny since the 250R was first made in 86 and the same for 87 then refined for 88 and 89. There wasn't a lot to worry about. The other quad that was fast if you could ride it was a Banshee and they didn't change past 1991. They got a break light a couple of years ago which was stupid to me and now they are gone for 07 and now on. My WR is my first dirtbike and I was told that I would trade it in every couple of years for the new one since they change drastically every 2 years or so and he was right. I think I'll just go with a YZ next. I like the WR but I like the sportier YZ and the 20 + less pounds. I don't think the changes to the WR are going to out do the free moded older models with a good pipe and the price shot up. From what I could see from the 360 view is that the muffler has the PMB tip or something like it and the smog pump is routed different. Other than the break disk and the frame thats really it that would matter. KTM is still using a steal frame on their XC450 as far as I know. I guess the extra 3 LBs is from the skid plate. I told my wife that I thought they would either be more race ready or street legal and I didn't hit either. They look better by far but the performance probably won't be that different.

the new WR looks pretty cool ? , new head light, new tail light w/ YZ fender, new disk brakes, new lower guard, 2-lbs lighter than the 06, why did they go w/ the 110/90 rear tire? i have an 05 now. going down to montclaire yamaha and start the long lay-a-way plan for the november delivery. my 05 will go to supermoto/street and the 07 will hit the trails. i dodn't care about no EFI. when the 08 comes out with it, maybe at that time i'll sell the 05 and buy the 08.

Looking at the bike, one thing I really don't like is that skid plate.

It would have to come off for a new skid plate!!!

The new WR's look awesome!! My '03 WR is for sale and i am trying desperately to find the extra cash for the new allumarrific one! Yamaha is showing the way to the competitors once again!!!!

I for one like the new WR. It is a definate step in the right direction.

They look sano, got wide footpegs, fat bars and YZ plastic. I love the YZ plastic.

As for graphics, that's why I love YZ plastic - easy to change to something that looks real good! New light, at least it looks better than the old one.

Although I will not be getting an '07, I will definately be in line for one in '08 or '09.

I would loose too much money if I traded up at the moment. Still want one though!

Still no EFI - doesn't really bother me at the moment. Just means that this year they will be testing it flat out getting it absolutely right for next year. That would have been the one thing that would have really shocked the crap out of me. I just expected a 2006 YZ450F with a headlight, and that is what we got. That is just fine by me!!!

I just picked up my 2006 WR450 (which I think is a great looking bike) last Tuesday and after looking at the pics, I prefer the looks of the 2007. I like the slim LED tail light, headlamp styling and the wrap around skidplate.
