There was a pretty good ride out of Auburn last year. Anybody know if it's on again this year?
Also, there was one starting in Pollok Pines the year before.
Any Sierra runs comming up?

I been looking for that Pollock Pines ride last year and this year with no luck. I don't remember what club sponsored it. Maybe Napa or Vallejo? Anyway, it was a great ride with super scenery. :ride:

The "Ride Reno 200" put on by the Dust Devils Motorcycle Club in Reno, NV. It is comming up on September 30th & October 1st. Their web address is http://dustdevilsmc.com/rr200/ They base it out of Boomtown. Saturday is typically a loop up in the forested part and into California. Sundays loop is typically around Mt. Pevine and more "desert-like". Both days are great and there are Hard/Easy splits at several points to accomodate most riders. Saturday night they also put on a Banquet for the riders and give away lots of raffle prizes. I highly recommend it!

Haven't ridden many, but the Sheet Iron out of Stonyfore is good, but hard to get into. Not much frill, but good riding. There is a very good two day ride out of the Boomtown Casino in Verdi/Reno around the end of September. They run separate loops out of Boomtown each day into the Sierras and High Desert areas around the area North of Reno. One of the most scenic and "Kodak Moment" rides going. The Saturday night buffet dinner (included in the price) is a humdinger. You also get very graphic T-Shirts, roll charts, GPS down loads and a discount on rooms at the casino. Their posters for the ride should be showing up in local bike shops soon. The web link provide is a very good one to down load the entry forms. See you their.

Sheet Iron this year was awesome! Saturday the riding was fast, and intense! Did all the hard splits! Sunday, Holy $hit batman, it rained like there was no tomorrow, over the pass 7000 feet or so it was so friggin cold, foggy and starting hailing along with sleet and poor visibility. But so worth it. See you next year....

I did the Reno 200 2 years ago and had a blast. The club that puts on that ride really goes all out. I won 2 prizes at the banquet and was quite happy. The food was great, and they had all kinds of swag on the tables, stickers and such. I hope to do it again this year, we'll just have to play it by ear.

Cisco used to have the BrokenToe300 out of Foresthill to Boomtown. That was an awesome ride. He has since sold us DS'ers out and got rid of his street legal scoot. :p

I have high hopes it will be happening again soooon.
