Whats my BRP worth?

Recommended Posts

I paid 4300 for a 2003 with 300 miles and in new condition with the same DS kit, buddy pegs and two sets of new tires. You have a few more goodies and it looks awfully nice. I would think 4k would be in range, though the market varies week to week. Might consider ebay. The one I bought was listed there with a Buy Now price of $4500. The bid was up to 4200 when I looked at it (he was in my city).

Just reread you post and realized that the 1200 miles was just your miles. How much time it had on it before you got it would be pretty big factor of course.

With it in such good condition I wouldn't sell it for less than 3500. Stick with using the cycle trader and all of the message boards, your bike is too nice to throw on ebay imo. There are very few street-legal XRRs out there, shouldn't be a problem finding a buyer.

It's not always throwing it on ebay. Some bikes go for ridiculously high dollars. Varies day by day and who's bidding.

I agree, but personally I would prefer to use ebay after I didn't have luck selling it regionally via the cycle trader and message boards. Or if I needed to sell it quickly. I am certainly not anti-ebay, I was able to recover over $3k selling leftover/ old parts from my CR250 race bikes a few months ago using it. That wouldn't have been possible a few years ago!

I've considered putting my 350 on there, maybe parting it out. But I hate to scrap a spirited beast like that. :excuseme:

Not to mention all those trips to UPS to ship $15 parts......

gotta do something. HOw much does ebay get off what you sell? Someone told me you have to open a separate bank account with them as co-members?

Here is a link to eBay's scheduled fees:

The fees really weren't that bad imo. Never heard of the seperate account thing. All of my items sold were paid by PayPal and I just had them mail me a check when all of my selling was done. The shipping part did stink, and I ended selling several "bulk" auctions to avoid shipping so many little items.

2000 XR650r. Street plated in nebraska, baja designs kit, new brake pads. It was used before i bought it and I put 1200 miles on it. I am putting on a new set of maxxis 50/50 tires. It runs great with tons of power. I was considering selling it, but i am not sure if i can do it. I have $4000 in it. So whats it worth?

Nice bike! I just sold my 2000 BRP for $3000, and it wasn't as clean looking as yours. Mine had revalved suspension, Stage 1 Hotcam, uncorked stock exhaust, UNI airfilter, Clarke desert tank, ProTaper upper and lower tripple clamps with big bar kit, and was street legal. The fenders were scratched up, but I had new decals on it. The tires were toast. It had about 7k miles on it. I advertised it for $3200, and got $3k for it. It sold pretty fast, the second guy that came and looked at it bought it. I would say your bike is worth at least $3200. Hope that info helps.
