One more reason to hate quads.

Recommended Posts

I was riding in Eastern Oregon last weekend and I see a young, slightly vertically challenged girl riding her retard chariot with no helmet or safety gear of anykind. She had her newborn infant on the back with a bicycle helmet on. I guess she figured the helmet would save the kid if the Quad rolls over on it! Ever seen one of those Bobblehead dolls? :applause:

I think the science community would refer to this as "natural selection."

Calm down Chief.

(in bold) That's no different than most folks who buy road or off road bikes.

Just like bikes, quad, snowmobiles, horse riders, boarders etc... Uneducated buyers do the same thing.

What about the NASCAR idiots who buy a Monte Carlo because some hick with stickers all over his won a race on Sunday.

The old motorsport slogan from the 70's was 'Win on Sunday... Sell on Monday..."

For sure with all of these sports, it the rider fails to mind his safety, they'll pay the price.

What gets to me is that when you catch them lying and let them know ( after an hour of hearing the dumbest shit on earth ) that you know they are lying and they are pissed and try to make you look stupid. When the 450 quads came out the next generation of Pro racers came out of the wood work. Every kid around here had a 450R Honda. The Blaster's and 300EX's were actually going faster at the MX tracks. To beat that, I bought a 2005 Dodge 3/4 ton 4x4 a year ago. I traded in my 1999 Ford 3/4 ton 4x4 for the Dodge. I had a guy who I have known for a few years tell me all about the 7.3 Fords like I had NEVER SEEN ONE BEFORE after I traded it in. He did the same thing about the Dodge a few months ago. Sparking conversation about an object is one thing that he was actually telling me about them. I hate to talk bad about my home but that is the mentality of A LOT of the people here. The going attitude for the WR's right now is that the " whyzeeeee's ul run ahunerd fifty miles u our. Them dublye-ares ain't sheeeeit." To sell something around here you have to makes friends with one of these idiots to the point that they trust you and start a roomer that you bike is a good one. Otherwise you're screwed.

yes we set a bad example here in aus. the dealer removes throttle stops, and does some mods before you get your wr, that can be registered anywhere in the country..............and legally road ridden by 16 y/o in some states.

in tasmania if you weigh over 88kg (approx) you can get an exemption so you dont have the 250cc license restriction and can get up to a 600cc on your learner license.

back to quads, dont hate quad riders just because they dont have the balance to ride a real bike.

I get this guy coming out to my track on a banshee and he's always saying how he's going to drag me off, so i go out to the street (dirt rural road) and ususally do a wheelie for the whole drag and at the end he says " almost had you there"..........

quads and thumpsters.........

A dirtbike is a lot easier to learn to ride than a quad. With a bike your weight placement is front to back. The hardest part is the twist throttle. A good ( and I mean good ) quad rider has good ballance. With a quad you have to learn to put you weight everywhere you can and still have atleast one foot on the peg and your hands on the bars. Back to the WR mods. The dealer I got mine from cut the wire and changed the throttle stop when I got mine.
