OK well I will tell you.....even thou I say it 50 times a day.

The new 450 is one of the greatest bikes ever......but they have some little bugs....easy to work at......You need to re jet to a 170 main and a 48 pilot ( Carb is a pain in the ass to get to ) you need to change the front tire ( never hooks up ) and the back tire wears out in 4-5 rides......If you race you will need a whole shot devise.....The bars are really low IMO if you are tall get the CR bend on KW bend.....Suspension needs to be broken in it is very stiff the first couple rides but it will loosen up....I do like the stock suspension.......If you are going to get a 450 the 2006 YZ450F or SE ( yellow ) is the best or I should say a beast.

i just picked mine up yesterday and put about 30-40 minutes on it. I thought the suspension was soft and not stiff but it still had good bottoming resistance. my cr felt alot stiffer yet i would bottom out the cr on every lap. i didn't once bottom out the yz450f yesterday. the front tire hooked up good on the track i was on and the thing corners like its on rails. the only other thing was the front brake didn't seem as powerfull as my cr. the chian stretched like crazy too. i love it though, cant wait to get some more time on it once this rain stops here.

I love mine. Definately needs to be jetted, and chain replaced.

I love mine. Definately needs to be jetted, and chain replaced.

also the front tire needs to be swapped, skid or glid plate added, forks brought up another 5mm to the line, sag set, steering head and swingarm/pivot bearings repacked, all bolts tightened, Adj fuel screw added, oil up the airfilter.

Then she will be ready to ride/race :applause:

already? :applause:

Before first ride - no cleaning, just adding grease.
After some rides - thorough cleaning and re-greasing.
