Viewing maps

I'm going on a trip this weekend and would like to have a map. How do you guys do it. Do I tape one to my Clarke tank or is there an easier way.

Cycoactive makes a crossbar mapcase too, but you probably can't get one by the weekend.

What I've done a couple times is a 1 or 2 gallon ziploc bag and a bungee cord, kind of tuck it up under the front of the seat and run a bungee diagonally across it.

This was with the LM Colorado trailguides, spiral bound like a notebook. If your map is just one sheet stick some cardboard in there with it to stiffen things up.

I bought a map case at REI, it is like a very heavy duty zip lock bag with fabric reinforcing the sides and it has clips on the ends. I put zipties around my handguards and attach the clips to those. Works great!
