I have a 2006 WR450F and want more power for sand driving, I was told i can just put in a YZ exhaust cam, I went online to yamaha and got this number off an 05 YZ450, can someone verify this is the proper one I need for my bike, and will it swap out using my WR timing spec?

That is the correct location but the Yamaha USA site lists 5TA-12180-10-00....maybe for USA only? :ride:

Sorry Off-Topic.

Assuming that you are riding a WR using a YZ cam with yz timing. Does the timing chain wears off faster than it should be? :applause:

No. The WR uses the same chain as the YZ, and all the sprockets are the same pitch.
