The red line is an '06 YZ450F, the blue is an '06 CRF (I know that's backwards...I didn't do it) Both bikes were jetted for the environment.

Makes me wonder if 5-valve heads are unecessary. The Yamaha Raptor 660R (5v) was replaced by the 700R (4v) for 2006.

Start getting into even bigger bores/strokes and you'd probably see the advantage of bigger (or in this case more) valves become apparent.
