I remember reading in here a few months ago that someone found an aftermarket, drop-in thermostat for the XR650R.

My stock one went bad awhile ago. I'm using a Napa #115 thermostat like mentoned in www.xr650r.us. My bike is starting to have temp variences again, so I wonder who make a good aftermarket thermostat, and where to get it?

I run the SRC one in my bike, and have yet to have a problem. It costs $17 from SRC.

BD says to remove it if you aren't riding in cold weather.

Any feedback on that advice?
